Aloha Pulled Pork with Slaw

The Dressing of the Slaw

Instructions

  1. Pork

    Turn your crock pot on to high. Add soy sauce, chicken broth, pineapple juice, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and pineapple. Mix all together and then place in your pork. Cover and cook until pork easily pulls apart (about 4-5 hours). Once the pork is done remove it from the crock pot. Add the cornstarch and whisk. The sauce should thicken some. Then add the pork back to the crock pot and shred

     

    Slaw

    In a good sized bowl mix all your slaw ingredients. In a separate bowl mix all your slaw dressing ingredients. Coat your slaw with the slaw dressing. Mix well and refrigerate for at least ½ an hour

     

    Serve

    Lightly toast your buns, place a good helping of the shredded pork on to the bottom of the bun, then add slaw to the top of the bun. 

     

    Best served with fresh pineapple, chips, and plenty of napkins
